California Driver Education

In California, parents now have the option of allowing their teen to participate in an online California driver education course. This can be a huge advantage to parents and teens. Often time, parents find themselves having to take off work every day for a month, fighting traffic and missing work in order to get their teen to their driver education course. Even more challenging are parents/teens that live in some of the more remote parts of California, as there may not be a school nearby.

Driver Education in California

Taking California driver education online solves these problems. Teens can enroll in California drivers ed at 15½ and apply for their learners permit. The teen student must have their learners permit for six months, complete the course online and complete 50 hours of training with their parent or guardian during this time. This makes it much easier on parents to be involved with their teens early driving experiences. Parents can spend time in the evenings, after work, or on the weekends as their time permits.

All in all, taking a California driver education course online is far more constructive for the teen. No classroom distractions, parents can ensure their teen is studying properly and the interactive multimedia training format uses text, audio, graphics and video to reinforce learning objectives. For more information on this course, visit the California Driver Education website for details.
